Hey! Ever wondered why others' discussions are more colorful than yours? Or theirs are always more attractive than yours? Well, their using codes.
This is a thread for sharing the codes we know and are using here in Luckygames forums. Let me share mine.
To make bold a sentence or a word write this code without the spaces. Bolding a letter emphasizes it.
[ b ] the message you want to make bold of [/ b ]
[ i ] the message you want to make italized [ /i ]
[ size = 16 ] message [ /size ]
Center and Right
Those refreshes the eyes of the viewers from that straight uniform view of text
To make center
[ center ] message [ / center ]
To put it right
[ right ] message [ /right ]
Images make the forum less boring. To insert image:
[ img=url ] message to put the link [ /img ]
[ color=red ] message [ /color ]
[ color=orange ]message [ /color ]
[ color=yellow ]message [ /color ]
[ color=green ]message [ /color ]
[ color=blue ]message[ /color ]
[ color=indigo ]message [ /color ]
[ color=violet ]message [ /color ]
[ color=purple ]message [ /color ]
[ color=pink ]message [ /color ]
[ color=silver ]message [ /color ]
[ color=gold ]message [ /color ]
[ color=grey ]message [ /color ]
[ color=brown ]message [ /color ]
Tip for using colors:
1. Use the code of the bolding letters with the code for colors. Using the code for colors alone makes the letter boring and weak, while bold letters emphasizes the words you colored.
2. You can also try the codes for colors with any colors that you like just use the code
[ color= the name of the color ] message [ /color ]
You can try and experiment with all the colors that you know.
3. Do not use a lot of colors in one discussion. Using various of colors in one discussion makes your discussion look cheap and too playful. There's no proper emphasis and focus. The eyes of the readers might get a little confuse too.
To put a link in a text or sentence:
[ url= the link ] the message you want to put a hyperlink unto [ /url ]
To shade a paragraph blue like I did above use the greater than (>) symbol before the first word in the sentence:
Leave an empty space after that paragraph if you want the next words unshaded.
Always remember to use this code if you want to end the use of a specific code:
That backslash (/) indicates an end to a code.
Warning: DO NOT USE TOO MANY CODES IN ONE DISCUSSION, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO EDIT IT AGAIN. You're page might hang if you try to edit it again.
DO YOU KNOW SOME CODES FOR THE BEAUTIFICATIOB OF ONE'S DISCUSSIONS? CARE TO SHARE! I am always wondering how to put a page break in a discussion.
